TLC fans will be thrilled to learn that the VH1 biopic about the '90s
R&B supergroup is moving forward with production for real, this
time: One of the main stars has already been cast.
Lil Mama, best known for her cutesy teen hit "Lip Gloss" (okay, and that time she jumped onstage next to Jay-Z during the MTV VMAs), will portray fiery rapper Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, MC Lyte revealed at the VIBE Impact Awards on Friday.
"I don't know if I'm supposed to say, but I will," Lyte teased. "She just got the role of Left Eye in TLC's new movie."
Lil Mama appeared to confirm the news via Twitter, retweeting messages of congratulations from her fans.
While I am not too keen on her acting skills I am sure Lil Mama will bring her 'A' Game. She definitely has the look and flow. Some people are not too happy about this pairing and have already started a petition to boycott her from playing the role.
“Finding your own space in the music industry proves difficult when
your sister inhabits every corner.” Very true, but as the little sister
to probably the biggest star in the world, Solange is blazing her own
trail. The eclectic musician and fashionista covers The Fader’s “Spring Style” issue, doing double duty with punk band Vampire Weekend. The Fader
follows Solange preps her sold out show at NYC’s Bowery Ballroom with
the meticulous precision that comes with growing up Knowles. She’s
become a voice for the cool kids, the crowd you’re most likely to catch
at the Brooklyn Arts Museum rather than courtside at the Barclay’s.
In the interview, she opens up about the evolution of her sound, embracing simplicity, and how her life revolves around her young son:“In
all aspects of my career, simplicity is so key. I think it has a lot to
do with how much the quality of my life has improved since Julez
started school, which pretty much implemented a schedule and a lifestyle
that revolves around a nine-to-five hour.”
Her latest EP, True has gotten widespread love from critics
and fans alike, and she credits her evolved sound to the experiences
that have shaped her twenties:
“[In] four years, there’s been so much artistic growth, so much
growth just as a woman in [my] 20s, but especially as an artist. You’re
exposed to so much more from age 21 to 26, and you sure as hell care a
lot less. It’s been a little weird, for me, getting feedback—the last
album was so different than this one. I am like, Yeah, I was 20 when I
started writing it. Is that supposed to be shocking? If it sounded
similar, that would be really strange.”
Solange fans may be in for yet another treat. She reveals that she’s
currently working on an extended version of her track “Looks Good With
Trouble” is tentatively set to get a guest verse from Kendrick Lamar.

Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z are planning a major stadium tour this summer, sources involved in the negotiations tell Rolling Stone. While talks are still ongoing, the tour as currently planned would include 11 to 13 stadium dates.
Timberlake hinted Saturday on Twitter that something was in the works, writing, "Big news coming after Justin's Grammys performance." According to the New York Post,
Timberlake said, somewhat vaguely, on the red carpet before the
Grammys,
"We're definitely going to go on tour . . . I don't know how
much I should say. . . . It's going to be a lot of fun, I know that."
The two stars have appeared on stage together a few times recently for performances of Timberlake's Hov-assisted comeback single "Suit & Tie." Jay joined Timberlake during a show in New Orleans over Super Bowl weekend, the pop-star's first live show in nearly five years; and the duo also joined forces for a rendition of the cut at this weekend's Grammy Awards. Timberlake's highly anticipated new album The 20/20 Experience is set for a March 19th release.
Be sure to check out ROLLIN STONES interview with the pop star,
where he talks about his return to music and how he and long-time
producer Timbaland put together the new LP:
"We encapsulated ourselves
in the studio and I didn't tell anybody," Timberlake said. "I was just
like, 'Let's make some music without all the hoopla of, like
expectations. Let's just make something that feels genuine from us.' And
I'm glad we were able to do that way because, for me, it's the best
stuff I've ever done."

Brandy Norwood was in the building for the annual BET Honors. The accomplished entertainer took the stage for one of the biggest shows during Awards Show season. Take a look at the powerhouse performer as she gives one of the best live performances I have ever seen from an artist.
In an 8-page spread in the March issue of Vogue, the singer continues the confessional streak she's been on as of late, revealing that she not only gave birth to her now 1-year-old baby girl -- contractions and all -- but that she had a vision of supernatural strength while doing so.
“I felt very maternal around eight months,” she remembers.
“And I thought I couldn’t become any more until I saw the baby. . . .
But it happened during my labor because I had a very strong connection
with my child. I felt like when I was having contractions, I envisioned
my child pushing through a very heavy door. And I imagined this tiny
infant doing all the work, so I couldn’t think about my own pain. . . . We were talking. I know it sounds crazy, but I felt a communication.”
"Giving birth made me realize the power of being a woman," she said.
"I have so much more substance in my life ... I actually feel like my
child introduced me to myself," she went on to say.
In addition to her upcoming HBO documentary, “Life is But a Dream,"
the 31-year-old singer is set to reveal even more about her personal
life when she sits down for the Sunday, February 16 episode of “Oprah’s
Next Chapter” on OWN. {Source}

Rihanna left just enough to the imagination in her new music video for "Stay," the latest single off her album Unapologetic. The clip consists almost entirely of slow, moody shots of the naked singer in a murky bathtub, save for a few shots of fully clothed collaborator, Mikky Ekko.
Rihanna performed her soon to be hit single a few nights ago at the Grammy's. Check out the premiere below!!
R&B singer Chris Brown seen driving one of his different cars from
the Greystone Manor Nightclub in Hollywood following a crash in his
Porsche earlier in the day.
The star totaled his fancy Porsche Saturday after crashing into a wall
on the way to a charity event in L.A. He claims an "aggressive pursuit
by paparazzi" was to blame.
Brown's rep explained in a statement to Entertainment Weekly that
after the singer was cut off by photogs, "the occupants jumped out,
with cameras, and aggressively approached his vehicle. In an effort to
remove himself from the situation, he began to back down an alley, at
which point he was cut off by two additional vehicles."
He
apparently crashed into a wall, which shattered upon impact. The car
looked pretty banged up too and was towed at Brown's request.
While the singer has his side of the story, Chris Doherty, owner of INF,
the agency that employed the photographers at the scene, says his guys
"had nothing to do with Chris Brown crashing."
Doherty insists
his cameramen arrived AFTER Chris crashed. "No photographers were
following him at the time he crashed," he told TMZ. "He crashed his car and it’s convenient for him to blame us. He needs to be careful with his defamatory statements."
So far, the Beverly Hills police have issued a statement on the matter, but wouldn't comment on facts beyond the crash itself.
Brown's rep said the singer was "okay" after events, and added: "We plan on seeking criminal charges and holding them civilly liable." He's apparently sticking to his guns on this one.
Despite the expensive hiccup, the singer ended up making it to visit a kids' dance studio event and seemed to be in good spirits. Now we'll just have to wait and see if there's any more Chris Brown excitement this weekend, since he's up for a Grammy Sunday night and will probably show up with on-again, off-again girlfriend Rihanna.
It's been almost exactly four years since the couple didn't make it to
the 2009 show due to their infamous domestic violence incident. {Source}
