SAY WHAT: Martin Lawrence and Wife Getting Divorced

Martin Lawrence's latest news is no laughing matter.

The Big Momma's House star and wife Shamicka Lawrence are getting divorced after making "the joint decision to part ways," a rep for the duo confirms to E! News.

Maybe marriage wasn't the best choice for the longtime couple... she is one beautiful woman, that's for sure!
Lawrence and Shamicka were together for 15 years before tying the knot at their Beverly Hills home in 2010. They have two children together.

"Out of love and respect for one another we will continue to remain friends and raise our two beautiful daughters together," they said in a statement.

This was Lawrence's second marriage. He also has a daughter with ex-wife Patricia, who's now married to NFL Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith.

The funnyman recently shot a sitcom pilot for CBS and wrapped a national stand-up tour.

CURRENT EVENTS: Jennifer Hudson Family Murder Trial Begins

Jennifer Hudson took the stand for nearly an hour this afternoon as the first witness in the Chicago trial of the man charged with killing her mother, brother and nephew.

Jennifer Hudson's mother, Darnell Donerson, 57, was the first person killed when William Balfour allegedly entered her home on Oct. 24, 2008.
Jennifer Hudson's nephew, Julian King, was just 7 years old when he was killed allegedly by his estranged stepfather William Balfour.
King, nicknamed Juicebox, was found in the back of his uncle's SUV. He had been shot in the back of his head.

"None of us wanted her to marry him," Hudson said of her sister's marriage to defendant William Balfour, her voice cracking with emotion. "We did not like how he treated her... I tried to keep my distance from William."
Crying on the stand at one point, Hudson, who has vowed to attend every day of the trial, paused for a few seconds to compose herself.

The award-winning actress and singer choked up when asked about her relationship with her mother, saying, "I slept with my mom until I was 16 years old."

Hudson also testified she would sign blank checks and leave them for her mother, so that she could pay the household bills.

Balfour, 30, is facing three counts of first-degree murder for killing three members of Jennifer Hudson's family including her mother Darnell Donerson, 57, her brother Jason Hudson, 29, and 7-year-old nephew Julian King, who was also Balfour's stepson. Balfour was estranged from Jennifer's sister, Julia Hudson at the time of the killings.

Hudson, 30, described the last time she saw her mother, a few days before the killings in the family home. She said she remembered it vividly because it was one of the few times that the entire family came over to share a meal. "Thank God I got that," she testified.

Hudson's voice cracked with emotion almost every time she spoke about her mother. At one point a deputy brought her a box of tissues and a cup of water.

Hudson testified that she knew something was wrong on the day of the killings in 2008 because her mother didn't text her that morning as she usually did by 9 a.m.[READ MORE]

HEADLINE NEWS: Casey Anthony continues to LIE about her daughters disappearance

Today the jury in the Casey Anthony(25), murder trial heard the tape of her dramatic confrontation with detectives over the web of lies she told them as they searched for her missing daughter.

"Everything you've told me so far has been a lie. I know and you know that everything you've told me is a lie. Including where Caylee is right now," said a detective.

During the police interrogation, Casey stuck to her claim that she had given her 2-year-old daughter Caylee to a nanny.

Casey Anthony: "I do not know where she is. She's the last person that I have seen my daughter with."
Detective: "We know that's not the truth."

The interrogation happened in, of all places, Universal Studios in Orlando. Casey falsely claimed she worked there and detectives took her to the park to confront her with her lies.

Detective Yuri Melich called her "a cold-blooded callous monster" on the tape. In the background, a police officer can be heard banging the table.

Detective: "Tell us what happened to Caylee! Tell us what happened to Caylee!"
Casey Anthony: "I dropped off Caylee and that's the last time that I've seen her."
Detective: "No you didn't. No you didn't."
Casey Anthony: I would not have let anything happen to my daughter.

"There's nothing in Casey Anthony's voice that leads me to believe that she's at all concerned that her daughter's been apparently kidnapped.

"Nope. She said, 'I have no idea where my daughter is and all I want to do is find her,' in the calmest voice you ever heard from a mom. It's horrifying and I think we were stupefied in the courtroom, really," says Aphrodite Jones of Investigative Discovery's True Crime with Aphrodite Jones.

Incredibly Casey Anthony made up yet another lie during her police interrogation. She claimed she had spoken by phone to her little girl since her disappearance.

Detective: "What did your daughter say to you?"
Casey Anthony: "She said, 'Hi, Mommy!'"
Detective: "Your daughter hasn't seen you in over a month and she's not..."
Casey Anthony: "She was excited. She was excited to talk to me."

She claimed Caylee hung up when she asked to speak to the nanny. It's now beyond doubt Caylee was already dead.

Suddenly I saw a couple of those jurors take a different kind of look at Casey and that look was, you know what, we're not buying it anymore," says Jones.

Casey faces the death penalty if convicted. She claims Caylee drowned in a swimming pool.

News: MASSACHUETTS TORNADO

MONSON, Mass. (AP) -- The sight of flattened homes, peeled-off roofs and the toppled steeple of a 140-year-old church stunned New Englanders after deadly tornadoes swept through Massachusetts, striking an area of the country that rarely sees such severe twisters.

The storms, which came with fair warning but still shocked with their intensity, killed at least three people, injured about 200 and wreaked damage in a string of 18 cities and villages across central and western Massachusetts.

Tornadoes are not unheard of in New England -- the downtown of Connecticut's largest city was devastated by one last June -- so many people heeded warnings. That didn't guarantee their survival; among the dead was a mother who shielded her teenage daughter as they huddled in a bathtub.

But in many cases, doing the right thing -- quickly -- helped save lives.

Karen Irla, 50, was leaving Adams Hometown Market in the picturesque village of Monson when she heard children on their bicycles yelling, "Look at that tornado!"

"I screamed and I screamed and I screamed, and that's why I have no voice today," said Irla, who went against experts' recommendations by getting in her car. She made it to a nearby senior center and waited until the storm passed.
