2012 Billboard Music Awards Nominees

Adele tops the list (no surprise here) for the nominees at this evening's 2012 Billboard Music Awards.

The “Rolling in the Deep” songbird is up for Top Female Artist, Top Pop Song, Top Pop Album, as well as the highest award of the night,  Top Artist.

The Billboard Music Awards will air live tonight Sunday, May 20th on ABC 8/7c. Carrie Underwood and Justin Bieber have already been confirmed as performers for the show.

Adele, Rihanna, & Lil Wayne Lead 2012 Billboard Music Awards [Behind the Scenes with Brandy]

Adele, LMFAO, Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Lil Wayne lead the finalists for the 2012 Billboard Music Awards, which will air live from the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Sunday May 20 8/7c on ABC.

Adele takes the lead as a finalist in 18 award categories, including Top Artist, Top Female Artist and Top Billboard 200 Artist. "Rolling In The Deep," the lead single from her blockbuster sophomore album "21," places the U.K. singer as a contender in seven song categories.

Meanwhile, LMFAO is a finalist in 17 award categories, although the electro-pop duo actually scored 22 entries compared to Adele's 20. LMFAO and Adele will square off in the Top Hot 100 Artist category, which also includes Bruno Mars, Katy Perry and Rihanna.

MUSIC NEWS: ADELE Reschedules North American TOUR Dates

After canceling the remaining dates of her sold-out North American tour due to laryngitis, Adele has respectfully rescheduled the tour, adding six more dates.

Adele is set to resume touring in support of her sophomore album “21,” during August and October. The new tour will also include stops in six additional cities including Las Vegas, NV, Atlantic City, NJ, Durham, NC, Orlando, FL, Miami, FL and Spring, TX.

Adele’s “21” has held the No. 1 position on the US album charts for 10 weeks and has been certified double platinum. In the UK, “21” has spent more time at No. 1 than any other female artist in history.

Adele’s rescheduled North American tour dates are as follows.
