MUSIC NEWS: Jeezy announces TM103 Release Date

Young Jeezy not only celebrated the past, but looked toward the future during an intimate show in New York City. After commemorating the six-year anniversary of his debut Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101, he shared the long-awaited release date for his next album Thug Motivation 103.

Taking the stage at Highline Ballroom, Jeezy revealed that his oft-delayed fourth LP will drop this fall. “My ni**a Kinky B. just told me that TM103 will be in stores September 20. Goodnight, I love ya’ll!” he told the crowd at the end of his 75-minute set, which featured appearances from Jay-Z, Kanye West, Fabolous, The Lox, and Bun B.

So far the album has produced the singles “Ballin’” with Lil Wayne and the celebratory “Shake Life,” which debuted last week.

Travis Barker plays drums on the album intro. “I did an intro with Drumma Boy,” the Blink-182 member previously told Rap-Up.com. “It was amazing. It was like this epic, Braveheart-sounding intro.”

Meanwhile, producer Drumma Boy promised TM103 would be worth the wait. “If I had to say one word, it would be classic,” he shared. “It’s gonna be a lot of love put into this record. It’s gonna be a lot of stories, drama, effects.”

MIXTAPE PREVIEW: Young Jeezy - 'THE REAL IS BACK' [DOWNLOAD]

The mixtape will serve as an appetizer for Jeezy's long-delayed fourth album, which is now scheduled to hit stores sometime this summer, according to the Snowman. Although July 26 had been reported to be the album's proper release date, Def Jam representatives shot down those assertions.

Back around 2004, Drama had a hand in Jeezy's rise to rap prominence, after he featured the Snowman on his Gangsta Grillz series of mixtapes, including 'Trap or Die' and 'Can't Ban the Snowman.' The two had a falling out for a period of time but are now back on good terms.

'The Real Is Back' features 21 tracks and contributions from longtime CTE roster member Slick Pulla and latest signee Freddie Gibbs. Other notable guests include Fabolous on 'Rollin',' Yo Gotti on 'Flexin'' and Lil Wayne on Jeezy's current single 'Ballin'.'

BEHIND THE SCENES: Young Jeezy - 'BALLIN' video shoot in MIAMI

Young Jeezy hit the court to shoot the video for “Ballin’,” the street anthem from his long-awaited album TM103, due this summer. The clip, directed by Colin Tilley, was shot on Wednesday in Miami (Little Havana). In the first images from the set, the southern rapper emerged from a Rolls-Royce Phantom in Timberlands and an orange leather jacket with a bandana around his head while puffing on a cigar. He was surrounded by his homeboys and scantily-clad women, intently watching a basketball game. Lil Wayne also swung by to shoot his scenes.
