LIVE PERFORMANCE: VH1 Storytellers: Maxwell [FULL PERFORMANCE]

Check out Maxwell in his entirety as the soul singer takes fans through several of his hits, while revealing the inspiration behind his music. The show, which he performed for an intimate crowd of 150 people in New York City back in May, finds the Grammy-winner rolling through fan favorites from 'Sumthin' Sumthin'' to 'Fist Full of Tears.'

The 38-year-old beamed with pride for being asked to record an episode of the show, whose past performers have included Sting, Elton John and Kanye West. "You have this dream as a kid and the next thing you know you're at 'VH1 Storytellers' and the crowd is singing along to your songs," he told the audience. "It's a blessing."

Since releasing his debut, 'Urban Hang Suite,' more than a decade ago, the Brooklyn native has sold over three million records worldwide. His most recent album, the critically acclaimed 'BLACKsummers'night,' which dropped in 2009, earned him two Grammy Awards at this year's ceremony.
