GOSSIP: Rihanna Signs $20m X Factor USA Deal?

 

Rihanna could be on the verge of a multi-million dollar payday, with sources reporting the singer is about to sign a deal to take a judging role on X Factor USA.

The 24-year-old's management at Roc Nation are said to have secured a contract worth between $15-20m, after negotiations between X Factor mogul Simon Cowell and the previous front-runner for the job, Britney Spears, broke down.

A source described as 'very close' to the singer told MediaTakeOut: "[Rihanna] wanted to be on X-Factor, but we all thought that [Britney Spears] had it . . . when [Rihanna] found out that they wanted her instead, she jumped at [the opportunity.]"

There has been a huge list of contenders for the two seats vacated by Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger and long-time judge Paula Abdul, including Spears, Beyonce, Janet Jackson, Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas and even the late Whitney Houston.

However, it looks like Rihanna's current profile as arguably the biggest female star on the planet has secured her the role.
