IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: VH1's Behind The Music: Mary J. Blige {Full Episode}

This episode of "Behind The Music" will take a look inside the life and outstanding career of Mary J. Blige, the reigning Queen of R&B. Watch as VH1 captures the story of how faith, courage and a never-ending search for love and contentment helped one of the world's most talented musicians survive a tumultuous past. After her soulful remake of Anita Baker's "Caught Up In A Rapture" was heard by Uptown Records President Andre Harrell, Mary was signed instantly, changing her life forever. She then joined forces with soon-to-be music legend, Sean "Diddy" Combs and together they changed the music world with her honest and heartfelt debut album "What's The 411?"

Although Mary's professional life was flourishing, at home she was dealing with a volatile relationship and hit her lowest moment. Mary needed to make a change and she did. She was ready to better herself. Mary lifted herself out of her hole by praying and keeping the faith that things would change, and they soon did. Mary's prayers were answered and she fell in love with Kendu Isaacs, who would later become her very supportive husband, friend, and manager. He helped and encouraged her on her road to greatness. With Kendu's love, help and guidance, Mary found a new happiness which was reflected in her top selling albums such as "No More Drama" and "The Breakthrough" which won three Grammy Awards.

By the time Mary sang for President Obama at the Inauguration Day ceremony in 2009, her world had taken a 180 degree turn and she describes the experience as one of the most meaningful moments of her career. Now, Mary is set to release "My Life Too, The Journey Continues" on September 20 where she continues to deliver timeless hits while discussing her never ending journey. Catch candid interviews with husband Kendu Isaacs, sister LaTonya Blige Dacosta, Diddy, Nas, Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis and Mary J. Blige herself.

HOT SHOTS: Rihanna in GLAMOUR Magazine [PHOTOS & VIDEO]

Rihanna is the latest Glamour covergirl! Ms. Fenty is featured in the September issue of the magazine looking fabulous. Check out a few excerpts from her interview BELOW!!

On Drama
“I hate drama. But at the same time, nothing bothers me more than when life’s perfect. And that’s the sick part. I just love a challenge, whether it’s a relationship, my career, clothing…”

On her personal style

“Getting dressed, I want to pick the most bizarre pair of shorts so I can figure out how to make it look right, or work an outfit that will make people go, “What the hell is she wearing?”

On Dominant Men
“I play a very dominant role in my life, in every aspect of it. And I like to feel like a lady still, at some point. I feel like that’s the time when a guy really gets to be a man, and I get to be a woman. And if I’m being a man in the bedroom too, there’s nothing really in it for me.”

On females dominating music
“There’s a pack. It’s me, Gaga, Katy Perry, Beyoncé…who else? Ke$ha, for sure. Women are definitely dominating music right now, and that’s because we are competitive beings. I feel like music hasn’t been this exciting in a while.”

MUSIC NEWS: Jeezy announces TM103 Release Date

Young Jeezy not only celebrated the past, but looked toward the future during an intimate show in New York City. After commemorating the six-year anniversary of his debut Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101, he shared the long-awaited release date for his next album Thug Motivation 103.

Taking the stage at Highline Ballroom, Jeezy revealed that his oft-delayed fourth LP will drop this fall. “My ni**a Kinky B. just told me that TM103 will be in stores September 20. Goodnight, I love ya’ll!” he told the crowd at the end of his 75-minute set, which featured appearances from Jay-Z, Kanye West, Fabolous, The Lox, and Bun B.

So far the album has produced the singles “Ballin’” with Lil Wayne and the celebratory “Shake Life,” which debuted last week.

Travis Barker plays drums on the album intro. “I did an intro with Drumma Boy,” the Blink-182 member previously told Rap-Up.com. “It was amazing. It was like this epic, Braveheart-sounding intro.”

Meanwhile, producer Drumma Boy promised TM103 would be worth the wait. “If I had to say one word, it would be classic,” he shared. “It’s gonna be a lot of love put into this record. It’s gonna be a lot of stories, drama, effects.”

MUSIC NEWS: Newly married AMERIIE talks NEW ALBUM & More

‘1 Thing’ singer Ameriie has been generating quite the buzz for her upcoming ‘Cymatika Vol. 1′ album.  The album, which the singer revealed is expecting a spring 2012 release, will be preceded by the new summer single ‘Firestarter’.

While no official release date has been reported, the newlywed had an interview with RAPUP.com & provided details about the song, it’s parent album, and her desire to release an album every year.

How would you describe Cymatika, Vol. 1?
This album is pretty much trance, electronic, elements of house, heavy drums—not hip-hop in that sense, but drums that knock—and new wave with classic song structure. I probably finished about 80% of the project.  One thing I was experimenting with from a vocal aspect was androgyny and approaching the vocal in an androgynous fashion.  A lot of the songs don’t really sound like me. I think I’m gonna have to start putting out albums every year because that’s the only way I can keep up with myself creatively. Albums are bookmarks of where I am creatively. I really want to put out more albums.

Does the album have a theme?
The theme of the album is what it means to be human. I have songs about not being intimidated by society and what people think you should be, not wanting to be chic, kinda wanting to have your own identity and not feel like you have to follow the crowd. I also talk about self-suppression and how sometimes we suppress the feelings that we have or the ideas that we have.

What can you share about the first single, “FireStarter (Private Dancer)”?
On the surface, it’s about having fun, dancing the night away basically. A certain part of the song is fun, but it also speaks to our “look at me” culture a little bit. It’s kinda how everyone wants to be in the spotlight, not necessarily being in entertainment, just in some form. And kinda like how the world is a stage and how we are all the creator of our own reality. The hook goes, “‘Cause everybody in this whole wide world wants to be somebody in this world.” It’s very subtle, I don’t go deep into it like in the other songs.

What do you hope people take from this album?
For this project, people will really know me because it’s not just about romance, it’s about other stuff in general and what I believe. If they listen to the CD, they can actually come away with it and say, “I know her and what she’s about.”

MAG COVERS: Kelly Rowland covers Vibe's JUICE Issue

Kelly Rowland serves us more than L!FE on August/September 2011 JUICE issue cover of Vibe Magazine. In her most revealing interview to date, Kelly opens up about everything from the Knowles in her life to sextoy shopping with the girls. Get glimpse of the story and read the full interview when the issue hits August 16.

On if she feels more appreciated in Europe
No, not really. People still compare me to B over there. I said in an interview recently, ‘You know, if you guys would be a little bit more intelligent and ask me about myself we’ll have a much better interview.’ You can’t want a story from me and keep asking me about the past.

On if she exhaled when she parted ways with Mathew Knowles
I did, but I also felt like, ‘Oh my God, what have I done?!’ I stayed in the house for two days. I was sad. It was like a funeral. I had to deaden that situation in order to start fresh. That’s a very long time to have the same manager and the same label.

On becoming comfortable with her sexuality
I came into my sexuality while I was recording this album. I can walk into a sex shop now and not worry about what people would say if they saw me in there. [....] I go at the right time. Nighttime. 1 a.m. The really good ones are open that late.
