Kelly smiled and posed for pics while exiting her hotel for UK X-Factor auditions in Glasgow earlier. Kelly also tried her hand at a traditional Scottish dance known as the Highland fling with a couple of the local school girls. Aside from her judging role, Ms.Rowland is really shaping up to be a style icon for the show as the media continues to praise her wardrobe choices for the auditions. SPORTS NEWS: Plaxico Burress Home after 2 year sentence.

 

Burress pleaded guilty in August 2009 to attempted criminal possession of a weapon and was sentenced to two years in prison. He was released about three months early for good behavior.

Burress will be on parole for two years. He has to get and keep a job, undergo substance abuse testing, obey any curfew established by his Florida parole officer, support his family and undergo any anger counseling or other conditions required by his parole officer.

It didn't take long for friends and former teammates to transmit their good wishes.

In response to a tweet that said: 'Just In!. Plaxico Burress Just Released from Jail!'' former Giants star Michael Strahan responded: ''About time!!''

Despite the intensity of the NBA finals, even LeBron James took a moment to tweet: ''Welcome home Plaxico! Best of luck in the near future both on and off the field. 17 Jersey coming to a city near u.''

''I just want to thank God for bringing me through one of the most trying times in my life,'' Burress said in a brief exchange with reporters outside Oneida Correctional Facility in central New York. ''It's a beautiful day. It's a beautiful day to be reunited with my family. I want to go home and spend some quality time with them.

''I'd like to thank everybody for their prayers and words of encouragement,'' Burress said as the fog-shrouded morning gave way to brilliant sunshine. ''I'd like to thank all my fans all around the world for the thousands of letters, for their unwavering support. As far as football is concerned, if and when everything gets settled, when they get back on the field, I'll be ready.''

MUSIC NEWS: Tamia announces Comeback Album this FALL

Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter Tamia will be making a comeback this fall with the release of her forthcoming album entitled, Beautiful Surprise, confirmed by her publicist via Twitter. This will be Tamia's fifth studio album, and it will serve as a follow-up to her 2006 project, Between Friends.

Though details for the project are still limited, fans can expect the R&B vocal powerhouse to stick with her known sound and style. In an interview in late 2010, Tamia confirmed that we will be hearing love ballads that we've all grown to love as classics. As of now, confirmed contributions for the album include Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, The Runners, Chuck Harmony, Claude Kelly, and Carvin Haggins & Ivan Barias.

Recently, songwriter Claude Kelly talked with TheBoomBox.comin regards to his contribution to the record. “Tamia of course is a veteran with a great voice,” he says. “She’s doing R&B but we are taking it up a notch. I wrote some really classic R&B songs for her that I’m really proud of.”

Tamia, 35, is mostly known for her singles “Stranger in My House," "Officially Missing You" and her collaborative effort “Into You” with rapper Fabolous. The singer is currently married to NBA basketball star Grant Hill.

Comeback kid Chris Brown did not disappoint, with his energetic performance. Equipped with dancers and live band, Brown performed his hottest songs, bringing out newcomer, Big Sean for “My Last” and Tyga and Kevin McCall, for “Deuces.”  Of course Mr. Brown had to bring the house down by bringing Hip Hop legend, Busta Rhymes to the stage for their song, “Look at Me Now.”  The crowd went crazy as Rhymes proved he could still shut it down with his speedy flow.

The Diplomats united on stage along with the rest of Harlem, performing their classics along with new street anthems.  Everybody’s favorite stoner Wiz Khalifa opened the show with fun hits, “Black and Yellow” and “Roll Up.”  Lloyd Banks represented for Queens, bringing Prodigy, in his first major appearance since his release from prison and Havoc of Mobb Deep to the stage. R&B singers Lloyd and Jeremih, joined Banks for Hip Hop and R&B smashups, “Any Girl” and “I Don’t Deserve You.”  Swizz Beatz, Fabolous and Lloyd Banks closed the set with their hot track, “Start It Up.” Straight from the dirty south, Waka Flocka performed, bringing Wale for strip-club ready song, “No Hands.”  Brooklyn’s Fabolous slowed it down with frequent collaborator, Ryan Leslie.

Shaquille O'Neal, the man with four rings, 28,596 career points and scores of nicknames, has finally decided to call it quits, ending one of the most colorful careers in NBA history that will surely culminate with a Hall of Fame induction.

"I'm going to miss the competition. I'm going to miss, you know, the chase for the ring. You know, I'm actually going to miss everything," O'Neal said on "SportsCenter" on Wednesday.

He added: "Father Time has caught up with Shaquille O'Neal."

O'Neal, 39, revealed his retirement earlier Wednesday using the new social media tool Tout, a real-time video messaging service, to announce to fans: "We did it. Nineteen years baby. I want to thank you very much, that's why I'm telling you first, I'm about to retire. Love you, talk to you soon."

"Once a businesman, always a businessman," O'Neal said with a smile later Wednesday. "I am the emperor of the social media network."

Ms. Hill, who previously hinted that she was pregnant with her sixth child, took the stage at Detroit’s Chene Park on Saturday (June 4) for her 'Moving Target' concert series  in baggy clothing, high-heeled boots, and a Yankees cap, smiling for photos backstage. 

Her intimate shows have been inspiring her to create new music. “If I have something to say and I really mean something, that’s when it’s time to put something out. And it’s getting close to that time, don’t you think? As my Jamaican brethren say, soon come,” she told her L.A. fans in April.

In addition to the Fugees frontwoman, Mos Def rocked the red mic in anticipation of the Rock the Bells Festival.
